After a long wait, Turf Battles officially started Closed Beta #2.  The players and Publisher, AeriaGames, were working together to make the game more like the old Turf Battles everyone used to love and know. This was a very long and delayed process that many didn’t seem to expect. A majority of the players stuck around to see it through while a small amount left with a large doubt that the game would ever be the same. AeriaGames sent many of the players suggestions to the Developer (Now SmileGate) to get them implemented.

According to AndoSky, a Product Manager over at AeriaGames said that many of the updates players wanted are now in game with more to come.

Island PvP System – Phase 1:
The Islands have now been opened up for bracketed PvP. We will collect player feedback and introducing the full Islands system in Open Beta.

PK Penalties:
Full Red players will still receive maximum penalties, but penalties for non-red players have been drastically reduced.

Exp Changes:
Exp tables have been altered to make leveling much easier!

Potion Cap Increase:
Potion cap has been increased! Players will be able to carry roughly double the amount of potions as Closed Beta 1.

New Content:
New areas never seen before in Turf Battles, such as Eastern South Daria, will be opening up! Let the explorations begin!

According to the forums, there are mixed emotions about the new updates. Some people think the EXP changes were not enough while others think that it was over-done or perfect. Many of the updates are still being worked on by the developers so there will most likely be many changes throughout the rest of the Closed Beta testing period and into Open Beta and beyond.
