In an article posted today on the Archlords website, Codemasters has announced the closure of their first F2P game. According to the post, Codemasters tried negotiating with the Korean developer NHN but had no success in the continuation of the game and was not able to renew the contract. The servers will remain open for a month, ending on October 1st.
With the end of Archlord at Codemasters, Webzen will be acquiring the licences to the NA and EU territories and will be starting the database transition of characters around October 3rd. You can find Webzen’s article here. The forums over at Webzen are full of controversy over the character transfers. Some players think it is unfair for the players to be getting an advantage over the newly started Webzen Archlord that is only a little over a month old.
