Of course, the best I could do was break even, but in the time it was good fun.

When you first start playing, the only thing you can do is Gather Sweat from monsters. Its really random, and it scared me a little, but once you get past this horrific stage of the game and start selling your little bottles of sweat for a bit of cash, you can afford some ammo. I simply deposited a tenner in the game and bought a gun and some armor and went on a mass killing spree.

I also bought the little medic pack and got my medic level reasonably high. Of course it can be levelled to well over 2000 or so in each skill, and there are literally hundreds.

It was good fun and everything, and then I finally started to get some loot which was worth a bit of bobble. I had the choice here, either sell it for some more ammo, a better gun, and some other stuff that would be useful, or withdraw it as real life money and walk away breaking even. I decided on breaking even.

This was mainly because the game is endless. It literally takes years and years to make a profit and get your levels high enough to take on the crazy ass monsters which drop the insane loot that gives you the good money.

Anyways, I checked by the website today out of curiosity and it seems they have a planet roster now. It seems they finally got some money together to expand on the planets and are creating even more. But you know these games will be exactly as long, annoyingly long. You will end up putting a lot of money into the game in order to get a lot of stuff and cool items, and then you will want more, and eventually you will have put loads of money in the game and never make a penny back.

Did you know the new client has the new CryEngine2? Its much better graphics now, but is the gameplay any better? haha, of course not. Its exactly the same, and takes months and months and years and years to get to a crazily high level which doesnt get your money back.

If you play this game with the intention of enjoying the game. Then maybe you will feel successful. but if you start this game, seeing it has a cash economy, thinking you can game and get some money for it, think again. Seriously.
